Eli’s comics have become popular for their ability to capture the relatable moments and challenges that come with everyday life. When we asked her what inspires the scenarios she chooses to depict she shared It may sound simple but my inspiration comes directly from my own life. When I experience an emotion or situation, I often think I have to make a comic about this. It’s always fun to realize that many people share the same struggles or thoughts.

With over 11,900 followers Eli’s humor resonates with a lot of people. We asked her how she balances creating content that’s both funny and realistic while staying true to her personal experiences. I’ve always put authenticity first she shared. I try to do this in every aspect of my life. I’ve lost thousands of followers since Instagram shifted its focus to reels and since I started posting less often because of my new full-time job. I draw what I want and what I need because putting my thoughts on paper helps my mental health. If it resonates with others I’m beyond grateful. But I’ll never draw something I don’t believe in just to get followers or money.

Eli draws inspiration from her own experiences and emotions, and as a 31-year-old woman, many of the challenges she faces resonate with other women as well. I guess we’re all less unique than we think lol she said. But I don’t specifically have a female audience in mind when I draw. My ultimate mission is to break the stigma around mental health issues which don’t discriminate based on sex or gender.

Self-care and finding joy in the little things are central themes in Eli’s artwork. Having dealt with depression and societal pressures throughout much of her life, she now strives to offer support and encouragement through her comics. The help I provide might come in the form of a funny joke a pun a sweet story a cynical remark, or even a deeper, more serious message I feel compelled to share Eli explained. It’s incredibly fulfilling when people tell me I made their day or helped them get through a tough moment.
