Given the chance, Samuel shared insights about his distinctive narrative style and what inspires his comics. The memes I choose are usually random based on how funny I find the content. I tend to lean toward what I call ‘situational memes memes that others can relate to. Most of my jokes come from pre-existing material and I often include references or quotes in some of my works. As for my style, I can’t pinpoint an exact source of inspiration but I do remember that I based it on shows like Adventure Time. Several storytime YouTubers also influenced me with JaidenAnimations being the biggest inspiration which is why my character design has some similarities to hers.

Balancing traditional techniques with digital tools, the artist shared his process. Most of the comics I post online are created using digital art. I use the ibisPaint app on my tablet to handle everything from sketching and framing to finalizing the comic. All I need is my phone and tablet to get everything ready for posting. I rarely incorporate traditional art into my comics but I do use traditional methods to practice my skills, like sketching animals and doing portraits.

Samuel actively engages with his audience to improve his artistic skills and connect with his fans. He shared that since I don’t take my content too seriously, I often get jokes and funny comments in the comment section of my posts. I reply to them and my audience joins in. It’s like your typical Instagram comment section. I also practice on my own from time to time, seeking out various references and practicing to improve my skills.
