We were curious to know what’s new with Aylia since her last post. Aylia shared with us I’m currently working on compiling a Reasons My Friends Hate Me book but recently my focus has shifted to writing non-illustrated novels. My first two books are already out and available for purchase on Amazon and I’m hoping to release the third one in 2025. It’s exciting to see Aylia expand her creative endeavors and we can’t wait to see what’s next in both her comic series and her writing journey.

Aylia also gave us a glimpse into her typical day when she was creating a new comic. When I’m working on a new comic, I like to put on an episode of a show I’ve watched a million times before. The familiar background noise helps me focus while I work. Ah, the soothing voice of Nick Miller. Depending on the complexity of the comic it usually takes me anywhere from 1 to 3 hours to finish a piece. Aylia’s process is a mix of comfort familiarity and creativity an ideal way to bring her humorous self-deprecating comics to life.

Aylia also shared her thoughts on the feedback she receives from readers. I think artists never really know for sure if their work is being received positively or if it’s even being noticed at all. But recently I followed a newer account of a beginner and they responded with a message thanking me for the follow and saying they were starstruck. By me To all the artists out there keep creating because you never know who’s seeing your work and how much it means to them. She wrapped up by saying Thanks for taking an interest in my series.
