Becoming a parent is a huge life change one that’s filled with highs, lows, and everything in between. As I started this new chapter of my life, I decided to document the rollercoaster ride of fatherhood through a series of comics. Before becoming a dad, I mostly focused on Viking-themed humor in my comics but once my little one arrived, I felt compelled to shift my creative focus. It was incredibly rewarding to capture these raw real moments of parenting and in some cases even reflect on my own experiences as a son.
Through humor a touch of nostalgia, and a healthy dose of chaos I’ve illustrated the journey of fatherhood. Some moments are funny others are a little bittersweet and a few are downright wild. But no matter what, each experience has shaped me in ways I never expected. It’s been a beautiful exhausting, sometimes ridiculous but always worth it adventure. Whether you’re a parent yourself or just appreciate the ups and downs of life I hope these comics bring a smile to your face and remind you of the small meaningful moments that make it all worthwhile.
