Justin Hall, the creator of JHall Comics, began blending everyday life with pop culture when he joined Dorkly as a full-time illustrator in 2015. His initial focus was on Pokémon but he soon expanded his comics to include a wide range of pop culture topics, particularly with a nerdy twist. Drawing inspiration from his deep knowledge of fandoms like comic book movies and sci-fi TV shows, he weaves humor into these subjects in a relatable way.

As he explained, I usually focus on topics I am familiar with like the MCU and Pokémon which have plenty of material to use for jokes. This comfort with popular media gives him a creative framework to pull from allowing for humor that resonates with fellow fans.
