This time we asked the cartoonist about some of the most fun absurd or unexpected ideas they’ve considered for their comics but haven’t yet explored. Here’s what they share Okay so I had this dream; Ash Ketchum drops a Pokéball and instead of doing nothing, it starts capturing the ground and it doesn’t stop. The energy field stretches across the entire earth and captures the planet within the ball. The caption would be Gotta catch ’em ALL. I’ve never made it into a comic 1. because I’m too lazy to draw it all and 2. Part of me is worried that if I render it visually, it will manifest into reality. I told a comic friend that he could draw it if he wants but he hasn’t posted in over a year so If anyone wants to make it, please tag me, and don’t blame me if the world ends.

We asked the creator of Irregular Galaxy Doods what form of media they would choose if their universe could be adapted into something else. Here’s what the cartoonist had to say A game. I’d love to create an RPG with quirky little characters doing silly things, but also one that gets philosophical and explores life’s deeper questions. I’ve thought about making something simple using RPG Maker but I think about a lot of things, to be honest. A movie would be pretty sweet too if any bigwigs are reading this let’s make it happen.

The artist also shared what kind of music would best suit the comics they create. My ideal soundtrack would be composed by Andrew Prahlow if you haven’t played Outer Wilds do it and if you have play it again. It would be something you could hum along to making you feel safe and seen and occasionally a little sad but that’s okay. Hopefully, it would mostly make you smile.

Finally, we asked the cartoonist if there was anything they’d like to share with their readers that they might not know about the series. Here’s what they had to say Did you know I have around 500 original bonus comics over on my Patreon? Haha no, I won’t call that shameless self-promotion. It might not be exciting but one thing I don’t say enough is how truly grateful I am. I started drawing these little comics when I was in a low place and never imagined so many people would choose to hang out with me every day. The world can feel dark and scary right now, but we’ve got each other. Take comfort in your friends, family, pets favorite TV shows, plushies, coffee, and your bed how great is BED? Never trust your negative thoughts after 9 p.m. every day, give yourself a little gift stay hydrated breathe deeply, and go easy on yourself because in the end you’re doing your best and none of us know what we’re doing.
