We had the chance to connect with Morgan O’Hare to learn more about his creative journey and how his background in building design influences his comic art. Morgan explained that his architectural experience is central to the way he creates comics. He shared that The foundation of a good joke is the foundation of a solid skyscraper. I always say that. Sure my architectural designs were sometimes mocked by my peers some called them impossible dangerous or even Dr. Seussian in nature. But when I transitioned from building design to comics everything just clicked. Morgan’s unique perspective allows him to bring a structured yet playful approach to his comic storytelling proving that design principles can extend beyond architecture and into the world of humor.

Morgan’s comics often feature him as the central character so we couldn’t resist asking about the inspiration behind this choice and what it says about his personal experiences. Morgan humorously responded I can honestly say without bias that I am the single greatest character ever used in a comic. Some of the comics featuring me are based word-for-word on direct experiences. Others? Well, let’s just say they’re things my therapists have expressed concern about me doing. The comics write themselves honestly. This playful approach showcases how Morgan uses his own life and thoughts as raw material for his comics adding a layer of authenticity and humor that’s both entertaining and deeply relatable.

As a comic artist, weaponizing fiction to spread as much misinformation within comics about everyday relatable situations is the greatest tool I have against the dark forces of evil he said with a playful grin. Morgan’s witty remark underscores his belief in the power of storytelling, using humor and exaggeration to make a point about the importance of critical thinking and awareness in the age of information overload. His approach to blending fiction with reality not only entertains but also prompts deeper reflections on the world around us.
