Brad recently shared an update on what has changed since his last post. A lot has changed. It seems like a lot more things are on fire. I think maybe Trump got assassinated. As for me, things are pretty much the same. I still wake up every day with this strange urge to draw things and share them online. I’m a little older now and my jaw hurts more than usual because I got hit in the face by a random shirtless guy with a pitbull in the park the other day Brad wrote.

We asked Brad how he would describe the essence or theme behind his comics and here’s what he had to say. Well, I think I mentioned before that when I first started posting comics online, I named my website So Your Life Is Meaningless. The idea behind that title was to make it sound like a self-help book something like So You’ve Decided to Quit Smoking you know? These comics are for people who feel like life can be meaningless at times but still manage to push through and even find humor and happiness despite it. Or for people who just like weird comics and butts. I don’t know. What even is a theme??”

Brad also gave us a glimpse into what a typical day looks like for him when working on a new comic. Here’s my usual day lately wake up post comics to social media then draw in bed until I remember I should probably eat something. After that, I go for a run or walk, and then it’s back to drawing until the evening, usually working on Patreon posts and any freelance projects I’ve got. Some days the drawing comes quickly, and time just flies by the next thing I know it’s dark and time for bed. Other days it feels like plucking stray hairs out of my brain slow painful and not enough coffee to make it through.

The artist shared what types of responses have made him feel good about his work.

Now and then, a reader will tell me that one of my comics moved them made them think, or even made them choke on their drink from laughing. I’m always really grateful for these responses and for making any kind of connection with another person. No major moments stand out just occasional little notes like Hey this made me feel less alone.’ Those are always satisfying to hear.
