When asked about the inspiration behind his work and its reliability Anton shared First of all I want to thank everyone for their feedback. My comics are inspired by what I see around me, incidents from my life, and observations I make. Since my life isn’t exactly unusual I’m not surprised that many people face the same problems or situations. It’s nice to see that I’m not alone and that people from all over the world can relate. Of course, some of my drawings might not be as understandable to everyone and that’s fine. While we’re all quite similar we can view things differently, and our sense of humor can vary too.

Many fans may not be aware that Anton Gudim has already published four books one of which, Everyday Absurdities, is available in English. Reflecting on the creation of this book Anton shared This book is a small summary of all my creative work. We spent a long time selecting drawings for it and the preparation process took about six months. The publisher and I exchanged thoughts on how we envisioned the book until we finally settled on its form and content. The result is quite a hefty and voluminous book inside are several years of my meticulous work. By the way, if you’re interested, you can find it on Amazon.

Maintaining a steady stream of content requires a significant amount of time effort and creativity and we were curious about Anton’s current workflow. He shared that A few years ago, I would have said I made about two comics a week but now things are a bit different. I have a second project Yes But I still receive commissions for commercial illustrations and I’m also turning some of my drawings into animations which can take several days due to my limited animation skills. Given all of this, I would say I draw almost every day. I don’t have clear days off, even during the holidays. I could be drawing on a plane or in a hotel room. I wouldn’t say this rhythm is tiring because I know I can stop at any time, but if I go 1-2 days without drawing, I start to feel the urge to create again.
