When asked about the inspiration behind starting the series, the artist explained, I began Cold Bagel Comics as a way to make sense of the random weird thoughts that pop into my head. I wanted to create something that felt like those conversations you have with yourself at 3 AM when everything gets a little surreal and a lot funny. As for the style. That just kind of came together naturally it’s a blend of my love for simplicity and a tribute to all the quirky things I see around me.

The process behind creating the bizarre characters and dark humor found in Cold Bagel Comics is surprisingly spontaneous. The artist shared, It’s pretty much all spur of the moment. I usually start with a random phrase or an image that pops into my mind and then I let it evolve. I’m a huge fan of absurdity and dark humor because they’re ways to laugh at the strange things we all deal with even if it’s just in our heads. Once the idea starts flowing the characters tend to take on a life of their own.

Maintaining regular updates for Cold Bagel Comics can be challenging, especially with the demands of everyday life. The artist reflected that life can get pretty hectic. Sometimes, it’s tough to find the time to sit down and draw, especially when there are a million other things on my plate. But I try to remind myself that this is supposed to be fun not a chore. It’s okay to take breaks. I’d rather post something great now and then than something rushed just to keep up with a schedule.
