Iziah shared his creative journey and artistic process revealing how he brings his ideas to life. He explained that he always starts with his Zayatoon spreadsheet. Iziah shared how he decides which stories or characters to bring into his comics. It’s always about whichever character fits the joke, he explained. I don’t really do recurring characters outside of the Zayatoon ones. One day, I’d love to create a group of characters I can use repeatedly something like a Seinfeld-style ensemble of quirky, dysfunctional misfits. But for now, it’s just a couple of little characters having silly, sometimes surprisingly insightful conversations. The joke drives the characters, not the other way around.
