The artist behind the comic series shared her thoughts on cats and why they play such an important role in her work. Cats are incredible creatures that can both light up your life and turn it upside down. The way they treat you like you’re invisible is so frustrating but you can’t help but love them. They’re cats fluffy, cute and, most importantly, when they purr the world just stops.

The illustrator behind Lingvistov shared some insights into her creative process, admitting that having a ritual is key to her work. My therapist suggested I needed a ritual to get into a creative mindset she explained. And I realized that smells are a powerful tool. For me, brewing coffee has become that ritual that helps me get started. She also mentioned her approach to pacing herself I try not to push myself too hard. I now schedule one or two drawings a week, instead of ten or fifteen like I used to. This way, I can enjoy the process, avoid burnout, and get more done. In addition to her creative routine, she emphasized the importance of having a hobby and staying physically active. I’ve been swimming competitively for six years and it helps me avoid falling into the trap of self-doubt and overthinking.
